LAKESIDE LOON RABBITRY

     My name is Cheryl Ann Paine and my family and I are located in central Maine.  I started in 2005 with a few Holland Lops and grew to love them so much, that I started breeding and showing them in 2006.  I now breed and show Holland Lops, English Lops and few select Lionheads.  I have pet and show quality stock. 

     My husband Jeff and I have been married for 28 years and have four beautiful children and one grandaughter, Hanna Lynn.  We have been self employeed for 26 years and have a small trucking company, J&C Transportation, Inc.  Now that my children are all grown I have found a new passion with breeding and showing these rabbits.  I can not begin to tell you how rewarding this is.  Also all the wonderful people I have met along the way,  from other rabbit breeders, to the judges at the shows, and even to local people just looking for a sweet cuddly pet. 

     I have always had such a passion for animals and growing up I had everything from raccoons, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, dogs, and cats.  I even had a squirrel monkey at one time.  Now as an adult, I have two beautiful dogs.  One is a black cocker spainel female named "Hilly".  Hilly is now 7 years old and our other dog is a small maltese puppy named "Kallie".  Kallie is just 10 weeks old and she is so adorable.  Infact,  the dogs go with me every morning to the rabbitry when I am down tending to the rabbits.   I also have a beautiful Quarter Horse named "Merry" and "PJ" my Citron Cockatoo along with all my rabbits.
